So Proetic

Oh my gosh I read everyone's blogs again.

So much college stuff!

All this celebration, despair, and farewell! Some made it to their dream colleges! Others... not so much! Reminiscence fills our minds! Every one talks of yearning the past yet looking forward to the future! They say NAY I shall not forget those who've loved and YAY to adventures which lie ahead! So much hope and hesitation, doubt and aspiration, it is emotions of such that underlay the very bellies of our adolescent lives! It is our transformation in the form of an unsteady seal that crosses pages from chapter to chapter!

(That was all said with me jumping around the room in circles.)

But yeah, I feel kinda eh because I didn't have a dream school. Animation? CSUF has a pretty awesome program, but that doesn't sound as cool as HARVARD or STANFORD. I guess it could've been Cal Arts, but... nah. So while I'm REALLY excited for college right now, probably not to the extremity as everyone else?

Yknow what I am excited for? CAAAANDAY! Just kidding. I'm excited to start my own webcomic and kick some tail in animation. I'd be excited for cookies too, though!

Okay I'm bored of typing now. LET'S GO NOT STUDY FOR COMPS EVERYONE!

...transition...

There.

I looked at everyone's blog.

Two of em mentioned counting blessings.
MY element school didn't have a 6th grade dance! Although it didn't have sports either. (neither?)
I just keep on reading the big word on the Elation post.
God asks more questions than he answers.
CRAZY TRAILER! The book wasn't like that...
I should gain weight too.
I like morals, not sudokus.

See? I did. Except I just skimmed half of them.

NOW I CAN POST MY OWN ENTRY! or enter my post, if you prefer.

Time for a picture!

Kitten?

Cat?

Cats?

CATS!

(Awesome transition, Kev.)

Yesterday was the last performance of our school musical CATS! Twas quite amazing, am I right?! Well of all things... can it be really? YES NO HO HI OH MY EYE. Good job, everyone!

And guessWHATtoolateI'mgonnatellyoubeforeyoucanevenguess I was on crew! Props crew. I got to help make the awesome set and carry large boxes and stuff. It was actually REALLY fun! Here's some advice, if you ever wanna be on crew, I do suggest you BE ON CREW!

Yeah... advice of the day
...

The other day I was itching to someone about how my name wasn't on the back of CATS shirt even though I worked my butt off more than a few of the other crew members on there. I'm sorry 'bout complaining. It's more of a matter of principle, yknow? It's like when people sue someone else for a dollar; they don't do it for the money. They do it to win a case and to talk to Judge Judy.

Speaking of the court.

Speaking of a basketball court.

Speaking of sports.

Speaking of TRACK AND FIELD!!

(You did it again, Kev.)

I haven't talked about track all Kanga v.Blog long! Except that one post, but that was a pre-meet. We've had 4 meets since then!

Oaks Christian:
4x1 - I was running anchor leg! But I felt slower than... well, an anchor.
4x2 - SO FUN! This should be a standard at meets.
4x4 - My legs died. Jan's crazy.

AWESNAPE. Jessie and Jane totally saw Will Smith at this meet! THAS CRAZY! His son apparently goes to Oaks Christian. I wish I saw Mr. Bill Smith. Then I could've totally sang the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song, and he'd have totally sung along with me! Either that, or we could've beat boxed together. Sweeeet.

Isn't it weird how just SEEING someone famous gives us some kinda weird "WHOA" sensation? Just hearing that I was within 100 yards of him amazed the Bad Boys out of me. Hehehe. Get it? That was a Will Smith movie reference badly executed. Yay!

ABC District
AKA BIG BLACK GUYS MEET

I swear, there are always 30 year old Muahmad Alis at this meet who are apparently 18 years or younger. OH! Ali!! Another Will Smith reference!

4x1 - Yay for first leg. WAIT this was our not so good handoff with me and Edward! We passed outside of the zone, so Edward started to turn around. I was all "WHAT DA EDWARD" and pushed him forward. We could've gotten 2nd.
60m - I felt slow. But I beat Thien-Tu and Javi. But they were tired. So that sorta makes sense.
4x4 - 2nd place = MEDALS! I love medals. Unless they're tied to my ankles and I'm swimming in water. What?

Ontario Christian
4x1 - snap WE WON OUR HEAT! But got 5th overall? Or 6th? or am I way off?
4x4 - Um... baton drop... but I ran awesomely. More on that later maybe? I'm proud of Alvin!

League 1 - Concordia
4x1 - DARREN SO FAST!
100m - Why am I striding? I should be sprinting?!
4x4 - Fleakin' Oxford guy passed me! But he runs 51 second 400s, so that made me feel better. Also, we owned with 1st placeness.

That's me.

Track is so fun. Yeah, being captain adds 34 more headaches and responsibilities, BUT IT'S STILL AWESOME!

Okay.

Running.

Moving.

ANIMATION!

(You still got it, Kev!)

Dos puntos:
  • I got first place in the PTA Reflections Contest in the film and video category! (yes, that thing AGAIN.) HOORAY ME! Yay for animation advantage. I get to eat some kinda breakfast thing at a ceremony of sorts in April. More on that later when it actually happens!
  • I totally rendered my 1st 3D thingy with the help of Blender and this one tutorial. It's more than just a cube and a circle this time! Took me all day today...
Okay that's all I haveta say. Good job with the post, Kevin! Buen trabajo!

Fessional

Yesterday I helped make stuff for the upcoming Cats play.

I worked with Mr. Improta and he was directing all the workers, telling us what to do, using all this cool architectural terminology, just like an awesome professional. I learned what it means to flush! (Not the toilet kind.) It got me thinking... and I REALLY wanna be a professional in something. I want to be able to talk about stuff using words and phrases that only certain people with the same interest understand. I JUST THINK THAT WOULD BE SO COOL. I guess I sorta do it now when I talk about art or running with certain people, but I wanna do it more HARDCORE-LYY...

"Hey, what do you think about overcracking the spinners on the arckitons?"

"Yeah that'd be nice, then we can bring around the specknecks and drizzle down these piddlers over here."

"Aren't you worried about flambigioting the center of ripetics?"

"Naw, that's why I inserted all those spandles to counterbalance the findles."

"Oh I get it."

Today I went down to the bank with my dad, and I got my very first book of checks! I looked at it and thought... that would be a cool prop in a contemp movie.

HAHA I might need a place in my room for my grown-up stuff.

PTAnimations..?

Last Monday during one of our lil English discussions, Mr. Dalley said that people usually only write stuff when they feel depressed. And I was all (to myself) "PWAH PWAH! That's ridiculous! I mean just LOOK at my Kanga posts! They're FULL of happiness!!"

But then I remembered my last couple posts.

And I got all oh yeah it's sorta true...

...SORTA true. Ysee a lot of the stuff I type here is happy. Fun and sunshine. Even random people I meet commend me when they say how "gay" my Kanga is. I know they mean happy. So to live up to gayness, I'll make an awesome non-emo post! (Note to self: gay jokes aren't too funny.)

GAY!

So my "What is Wow?" video for the PTA Reflections contest got sent into state level, right? Well on Wednesday I got a letter in the mail... and then... for a lack of a better build up, I got this AWARD OF NATIONAL MERIT! YAY!!

The package came with an info letter explaining why I should be proud, an actual certificate (embossed and signed with non-stamp signatures!), a coooool medallion, and some "gjob" mini letter from PIXAR!!! IS THAT AWESOME, OR WHAT?! Hint, answer is not "what".

I actually got an award for something I DID. Let's count how many awards I got over the years now!

One...

and uh... yeah!

YAY! Well okay I got some of them Wildcat awards for who-knows-whats, but that's as much of an award as a marshmallow steak for dinner. The only difference is that a Wildcat award is not delicious and existent.

One last thing, I met the school's superintendent a few weeks ago (on my birthday actually) and he said he'd show my video at the next school board meeting! MMMMM exciting.

See, see, I don't only write about pain and teenage angst. I tell you when I'm happy and or awesome.

oh HAHAHHAHA I CAN DRIVE PEOPLE LEGALLY! Happy Birthday to me.
